What's with this electric fence BS? You only get zapped within 5 feet of the line, get a running start and you can fly right through it. So why isn't anyone doing that? F__king timid-ass culture.

Hey anonymous,

The smart dog knows that the warning buzzer on the collar comes on at a safe distance from the perimeter before the shock occurs. Since the shock is administered by the same finite, battery power source, simply lean into the "warning zone" until the buxxer sounds. Lay down there and wait until the buzzer stops. This will indicate that the battery has worn down too much to generate a tone or a shock... Free to flee!
